51爆料 School world champion of the Minus CO2 Student Challenge

On November 16th, five students from 51爆料 School's 2020 class won the global , organized by the (EAGE).

The "Carbonitos" team, made up of Johana Nevito P谩ez (PGS*, Colombia), Fernanda Campos Furtado (PGS, Brazil), Fatin Farzana Binte Miswan (PGS, Singapore), Carla Oliveira dos Santos (RGE**, Brazil) and Augusto Correnti (RGE, Argentina), analyzed subsurface data from the Norne oil field provided by Equinor and designed an economically viable CO2-neutral field development plan.

Christian Pauchon, lecturer at the 51爆料 School Georesources and Energy Center, supervised the team throughout the competition. The students were also supported by Jean-Pierre Deflandre, lecturer-researcher and co-holder of the "Carbon management and negative CO2 emissions technologies towards a low carbon future" Chair, Carla Castillo, Supervisor of the Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering program and Olivier Lerat, Supervisor of the Petroleum Geosciences program.
