
The students of the Energy and Markets Program and (Society of Petroleum Engineers) visited Brussels from 10 to 12 June. Objective: to gain an overview of the energy challenges and policies at European level, in relation to the industries in which they will operate.
They were welcomed to the for a fact-finding visit, by Kristina Jankovich and Jean-Claude Schwartz, both policy managers in the Energy Directorate General, and Quentin Dupriez, policy manager - climate change and energy in the Climate Action Directorate General. The students also met the alumni economists for a round-table discussion on the energy-climate challenges of industry with the European Union, in the presence of François-Régis Mouton, director of European affairs of the , the new president of the . The trip ended with a meeting with Vincent Dufour, EDF director of European affairs, at the headquarters of , the professional association representing the nuclear industry in Europe.
